Nice post. I actually have this discussion all the time at work. The discussion of being consistent with your brand. I think as a new brand, you could not get away with the changing of logos such as Google does. You can only get away with it once your brand is established. I try to tell clients to maintain consistency for the few several years until you have have an established market that understands your product/service. Once you’re established, then you can change things up a bit and play with different ideas. Google actually followed this concept. They really didn’t change logos within the first few years. I think it was only until they became established as a leader in the search space did they start this changing of the logos. Again, nice post. Thanks for the discussion. ;)
